Dr. Michael Hanna, M.D., CCFP, DCAPM, CIME, CFE, MHM, LL.M(c)
President and Medical Director

Dr. Michael Hanna is a duly qualified physician in the province of Ontario and licensed to practice medicine by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario with over a decade of clinical experience. Dr. Hanna obtained certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He completed training in Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba. He is a staff physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at William Osler Health System practicing at both Brampton Civic Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital. He is an examiner and evaluator for the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Medical Council of Canada. He is actively teaching junior and senior residents from the Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residency programs at McMaster University and the University of Toronto. He holds a Masters of Health Management (MHM) from McMaster University. He enrolled in a Health Law program to obtain his LL.M. (Masters of Law).

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hanna has a full spectrum medical legal practice. He earned an International Certification in Impairment and Disability Rating from the American Board of Forensic Professionals (ABFP). He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) in the Healthcare and Insurance field by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He was invited as a guest speaker at insurance and medicolegal conferences on the subject of healthcare and insurance fraud as well as catastrophic impairment designation. He completed a postgraduate training in chronic pain and completed the requirements for Diplomate of Canadian Academy of Pain Management. He has earned the International Certification in Impairment and Disability Rating from the American Board of Forensic Professionals. In addition, he is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner (CIME) by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME).

Dr. Hanna served as the Medical Director for a number of assessment companies including Seiden Health Management, Dynamic Functional Solutions, and Synoptic Medical Assessments and additionally acted as a medical advisor to a number of National and International Corporations. He has extensive experience in impairment and disability determination providing medical-legal, independent insurance, catastrophic impairment, long-term disability, and WSIB assessments. He has undertaken several thousand independent medical evaluations, including catastrophic assessments utilizing the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. He is trained and certified in the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 4th and 6th Editions. He has achieved a strong track record of performance in turnaround and high-paced organizations. Dr. Hanna works collaboratively with 3500+ physicians and medicolegal experts across Canada to ensure the provision of the highest quality independent and unbiased medical evaluations for major insurance companies across Canada and various law firms.

Christine Andraos, M.Sc.
Vice President

Christine oversees the operations of CMAC including expense control, staff management, business development, and marketing. She has been working in the medico-legal field for approximately ten years. Prior to her entering the workforce, Christine completed a Bachelor of Science at McMaster University in 2009, after which she pursed a one-year Bachelor of Education at The University of Toronto. In 2014, she obtained a Master’s Degree at York University in the field of Kinesiology and Health Science.

When she is not working, Christine enjoys dancing, playing volleyball, rock climbing, and spending time with her niece and nephew. She also enjoys independent learning and has engaged in various professional programs and certifications.

ALEKOS SORIANO, B.Sc. (Hons. KIN), RK, Professional Member OKA, CWWS
Director of Accident Benefits

Alekos Soriano graduated from York University in 2007 with a Specialized Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. He is a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario, Professional Member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association, and is Affiliated with the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance.

He has 10 years experience conducting fitness assessment protocols and 10 years experience developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized active exercise programs for home, community, and clinic based settings. Alekos has also assisted in the development of safety protocols for conducting safe and efficient Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) for the FCE Guidelines Committee.

Alekos is also a Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist through the National Wellness Institute.

Alekos has over 10 years of leadership, operations and clinical experience within the Independent Medical Examination industry. He has held roles as a Quality Assurance Supervisor, Clinical Practice Lead, and Manager. His wealth of knowledge and experience makes him and invaluable member in upholding the operations and quality that CMAC strives for.

Outside of work, Alekos enjoys the outdoors, travelling, playing basketball, baseball, snowboarding in the winter, muay thai boxing and staying up to date with the latest evidence-based health and fitness related topics.

Soumya Baby
Office Manager

Soumya is the office Manager at CMAC. She is international physiotherapy graduate from Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences, India.

She has over 8 years of physiotherapy practice in various multispecialty hospitals in India. She has 10 years of experience in Canadian healthcare industry, dealing with accident benefits and extended health benefits.

As a office manager she oversees the submission of assessment plans and auto insurance standard invoices to insurer. She provides support to other team members to ensure that company objectives are met and she works well with people at all levels of the organization.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, singing, and gardening.

Daksh Patel
Director of Plaintiff Business Development

Daksh Patel is the Director of Business Development & Client Relations at CMAC. He is a foreign medical graduate from Odessa National Medical University, Ukraine. He has done MBA in Hospital Management from Vinayaka Mission University, India, and currently, he is pursuing his certification in Six Sigma Black belt.

He has 5 years of experience in the Med-Legal industry. During this time, in the Med-legal spectrum, he has contributed his role as a Quality Assurance Specialist, Operations, Client Relations and in the Business Developmental strategic planning.

As a Director of Business Development & Client Relations, Daksh evaluates current business performance and look for ways that it can be improved. He also identifies opportunities, while carefully building and maintaining long-term relationships with business partners, clients, and their affiliates.

Joseph Yeboah
Director of Accounting

Joseph has had over 15 years of experience in the financial and telecommunication sector. He is an experienced manager and was responsible for monitoring and authorization trades. As the director of Business Development, Joseph has successfully build positive and professional relationships with physicians and lawyers.

Rafal Paterkowski
AB Co-ordinator

Rafal Paterkowski is an international medical graduate from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland. Prior to his return to Canada, Rafal held a position as a postgraduate medical intern at the Heliodor Swiecicki University Hospital Poznan. He is currently studying for his medical board exams in pursuit of medical certification in North America.

Outside of his work, Rafal is passionate about the outdoors and has hiked European and Canadian mountains on several occasions.
